General Information.

the sculpting, detailing and assembling of each work is done by hand, in Hampshire, England.

I attempt to present my work as faithfully as possible but it is important to note that a number of elements influence how precisely the colour of pieces are represented when photographed, such as lighting, monitor settings and the backlit nature of digital imagery. AS such, I cannot guarantee that the colours shown on the website perfectly align with the reality.  Where the piece is hung and the source of light to which it is exposed, will also have an impact on its final aesthetic.

Hanging the work

All work is designed to be flush mounted to the wall, using an integrated recess on the back of each piece, sized to specific SCREW HEAD dimensions, that suit the weight of the specific piece. A wall plug(s) and appropriate screw(s) will be provided with each artwork.

Please note that my ceramic works are made of solid clay and generally start at over 2kg in weight. whilst there are solutions to plasterboard walls, i would recommend they be hung on A solid wall or studwork timber..

If you have any questions regarding how to hang a piece, please do get in touch through the contact form.

A ‘White Glove Service’ is offered for the delivery and installation of all art pieces. The price for this is based on location and is currently only available in mainland UK. Please see below for further information.

Commissions

COMMISSIONS ARE AN EXCITING COLLABORATION AND RESULT IN THE CREATION OF A UNIQUE WORK OF ART. FREQUENTLY they INVOLVE THE INCEPTION OF custom COLOURs, glazes, techniques and CONCEPTS AND WORK CAN BE SCALED TO CREATE SITE-SPECIFIC ART.

Due to the bespoke nature of commissions, they are final sale, so please do bear this in mind.

Owing to the extensive process involved in the design and creation of each artwork, 50% of the final price is payable on executing the order, with the balance payable 2 weeks prior to shipping.

I strive to meet the dimensions discussed when outlining a commission but small variations may occur due to the practice of using a natural material, building by hand and the atmospheric kiln firing. Whilst careful fostering of each piece affords me a great deal of accuracy, each clay body is unique and, up to a point, has autonomy. The resulting nuances are part of what makes each piece distinctive. Unrepeatable.

If you would like to discuss commissioning a bespoke art piece, please get in touch here.

Packaging and Shipping

I am committed to ensuring my packaging is as kind to the environment as possible and use sustainable and recyclable materials.  the majority of the packaging is recyclable, corrugated cardboard, which is made from a minimum of 75% recycled fibres. inside, biodegradable, compostable wood wool and packing chips are used to reduce movement, both of which are manufactured from renewable sources. for heavier or more fragile pieces, the box may require a 3.6mm plywood lining.  At the moment, bubble wrap is necessary to ensure safe transit. I use a bubble wrap that is made from 30% recycled materials, which can itself be recycled and where possible, I always reuse it. I am seeking alternatives to this.
