The intention with my ceramics workshops is to offer a space for people to create their own, functional, art. I've designed the courses to explore the core skills of hand building, so you can master it's foundations, whilst also leaving the workshops with a number of beautiful wares, of your creation; to adorn the spaces within your home and become part of your daily rituals.

Our homes are more than just a practical space where we shelter from the outside world. They reflect us, our lives, our experiences. We paint our walls, hang pictures, select furniture...  We choose tiles, lighting, fabrics... Our homes become an artistic expression. A collaboration from all the people who live within it's walls. 

There can be as much beauty in a dog bowl as there is in the art we hang.

I offer a limited number of ceramic workshops each year – a mix of short taster classes and intensive day long workshops. Most classes are limited to a maximum of 5 students, ensuring enough time for individual guidance, while enjoying a relaxing and rewarding experience.

The studio is located just outside Farnham, on the Surrey/Hampshire border (approximately an hour by train from London Waterloo). In the summertime, larger private group pottery classes can be accommodated in the grounds, by the river.

The materials provided on my courses are the materials that I use to make work to exhibition standard.
